3rd Closing performance for ON THE GROUNDS OF BELONGING. If you missed this one, you missed a doozy!

5th, 6th Executive coaching at Siegel & Gale, NYC.

11th RETREAT table read #3 at National Black Theatre. We're almost ready to get this sucker on its feet for a spin, y'all. 

12th We begin 2 weeks of development with Nehemiah Luckett for Mfoniso Udofia's ADIA & CLORA SNATCH JOY at New Dramatists.

9th Previews begin at Long Wharf Theatre for ON THE GROUNDS OF BELONGING.

16th It's Opening Night!!  ON THE GROUNDS OF BELONGING World Premieres tonight. We're ready, y'all. It's an absolutely beautiful show.

SEPTEMBER

3rd Rehearsals begin for ON THE GROUNDS OF BELONGING at Long Wharf Theatre.  I love this play, y'all. Come through!!!

15th Auditions for RABBIT SUMMER in Chicago!  We're about to cast this play again, y'all.

AUGUST

6th Two days of Executive Training at Meijer in Grand Rapids, MI.

10th Rehearsals begin in Chicago for the Redtwist Theatre workshop of RABBIT SUMMER directed by Christopher Burris.  Redtwist will present a full production of RABBIT SUMMER this winter.  Stay tuned for those deets. 

12th RABBIT SUMMER reading at Redtwist Theatre. 

15th NHIA grad school reunion!! Four days of theatre, readings and workshops. with some of my favorite artistic minds. 

19th Two days of Executive Training at Raymond James. 

21st  Consultant work on Josh Gelb and Nehemiah Luckett's Jazz Singer, which gets it's NYC premiere at Abrons Arts Center this fall. 

24th VACA!!  Leave me the hell alone. I'm having a much needed respite. See y'all in September.

9th The TONY Awards on CBS. My beautiful choir, Broadway Inspiration Voices, and its genius founder, Micheal McElroy, will receive a 2019 Special Tony Award.

17th Broadway Inspirational Voices' Silver Anniversary KickOff Concert(s). Celebrate 25 Years of song and service with us at Greenroom 42. 7pm and 930pm performances.

19th Executive Training with Ovation Communication at Raymond James.

26th Broadway Inspirational Voices performs with the legendary Billy Porter for the World Pride celebration at Barclay's Center.  $30 tickets available for a star studded evening hosted by Whoopi Goldberg. Check out the video of this packed house extravaganza!

MAY

4th Closing performance of INTO THE BREECHES at ASF. "Thank you, closing."

5th Closing performance of STEEL MAGNOLIAS at ASF. "Life goes on..."

6th Workshop and reading of FREE COFFEE AND DONUTS by Melinda Gros at Geva Theatre's regional writers conference. 8pm reading is free to the public.

20-21st The 2019 Tony Award winning Broadway Inspirational Voices will record the next video installment in its Broadway Our Way series. These videos will include songs from Aladdin, Mean Girls, Hamilton, The Prom and more!

Yes, you read that right. This June, Michael McElroy, our founder and music director will accept the special Tony Award for our work in the Broadway community. We are also celebrating our 25th anniversary of service and music. It's a big year, y'all.

23rd First in-house read of my NBT commissioned play, RETREAT, directed by 2019 Drama Desk nominee, Taylor Reynolds.

 

APRIL

5th Opening night of INTO THE BREECHES at Alabama Shakespeare Festival.  This play runs in rep with STEEL MAGNOLIAS so click website above for schedule of which shows perform when.

 

MARCH

22nd Opening night of STEEL MAGNOLIAS at Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Having a ball as Clairee Belcher.

 

FEBRUARY

1st  Nehemiah Luckett and I are in beautiful Atelier Music Studio with the genius Zé Luis laying down our music tracks for TRIPLE THREATS!  

4th  Rehearsals begin for JAGfest 3.0!  Director Christopher Burris and three wonderful actors, RaVal Lindsey Davis, Jonathan Swain and Sarah Ellen Stephens bring new life to my characters in RABBIT SUMMER.  If you are in New England, see our reading at Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT.  Click on above link for more info.

9th  At 4pm RABBIT SUMMER will be presented at JAGfest 3.0!  Briggs Opera House in WRJ.  

13th  One last winter jaunt to Florida with Ovation Communication for presentation skills training.  And guess who's seeing Hamilton on tour while down there!  Looking forward to rejoining the Ovation family in May.

15th & 16th   TRIPLE THREATS is back in Atelier Music Studio laying down 10 vocal tracks with the incredible Avionce Hoyles, Badia Farha, Matthew Greer, Tanesha Gary-Stickney and John Carlin.  This demo is being produced by yours truly, partner/composer Nehemiah Luckett, and engineer/musician/genius Zé Luis.  Stay tuned for what's next with TRIPLE THREATS.

19th  Rehearsals begin for STEEL MAGNOLIAS at Alabama Shakespeare Festival.

26th  Rehearsals begin for INTO THE BREECHES at Alabama Shakespeare Festival.  Yup...TLee is working in Rep this year.  Wish me well.

JANUARY

THROUGHOUT THE MONTH  In sunny Florida training female execs on how to have "difficult conversations", then professional presence and storytelling for business training at Raymond James, and finally, some private coaching for execs of Envision and MasterCard all with Ovation Communication.

 

1st  Ringing in the New Year as host and featured performer in the annual NYE extravaganza at Tony's di Napoli in Times Square.

8th  I'm back at the keyboard with Nehemiah Luckett as we continue to score the songs for our musical, TRIPLE THREATS. Hellz nah, I ain't playing the keyboard myself. I croak out some melodies that he beautifully turns into MUSIC!!!

21st Rehearsals begin for a workshop of A BURNING CHURCH, a musical by Zhailon Levingston and Nehemiah Luckett.  Yes, OF COURSE, I'm playing a First Lady of the church...what else??? Amen and hallelujah.

30th & 31st   Staged reading of Levingston and Luckett's A BURNING CHURCH.
